This announcement is for any student
interested in College Credit Plus classes where you can earn both High
School and College credit. There will be a presentation on CC+ tomorrow
in the auditorium at 6:00pm. This is
during conferences and parents are encourage to attend with you.
The ACT’s will be
given on February 25th at 7:30 for Junior class members. Please see your guidance counselor if you
have any questions.
Senior order delivery
is February 21st in the first-floor hall. Total balance due at this time. See Velma if you have any questions or
need your balance.
Seniors! Make sure to get the latest
copy of the Guidance Happenings from Mrs. Montgomery, Mr. Griffin, or the Library. This edition is packed full of
scholarships! The county scholarship
applications are now available as well as several others. They are all listed in the Happenings
with all the details. Don’t Delay!
There are class ring
packets available in Velma’s office for anyone grades 7-12 that would like
to order a ring. The Herffjones reps
will be available for parent information and ordering on February 20th
in the high school lobby from 4:00-7:00 and the first floor lobby on
February 21st @ 7:00am. Please
see Velma if you have any questions.
There is a Drama Club meeting tomorrow
at 3:45 in the auditorium for students that are interested in being a part
of the Club/Spring play. This is
parent/teacher conference night and parents are welcome to attend as well.
The sophomore class is selling
Preble Shawnee stadium blankets to help insure they have the Best Prom Ever
in the history of Shawnee proms! ?? the
cost is $25 with no ordering and waiting ~ You can take your blanket with
you when you pay. (All students
attending any CTC or CC+ can notify Velma if you would like to purchase a
Attention Junior High Students, there
will be a Valentine's Day Dance on Tuesday, February 18th
from 2:30-4:00 in the cafeteria. Admission
is a donation of $2.00 to be paid at the door. There will be lots of
fun, music, and dancing. Hope to see
you all there.
Congratulations to our
Preble Shawnee FFA Ag sales team for taking home first place out of 15
teams at the district contest. The competition included both a group and
individual sales scenario. The team consisted of Megan Roell, Jared Dunn,
Bailey Lamb, Cheyeanne Epperson, and Nolan Hembree. They will move on to
compete for the state title on March 9th. Congratulations also goes to Jacob Doty
for placing 2nd at the sub-district public speaking competition
for his speech on fuel injectors, he will compete tonight at the District
competition to see if he will be moving on to state, good luck.
Winter Sports Seniors will be
recognized between the j/v and varsity games on Friday ~ All participants
need to complete their forms and have them turned in to Mr. Sadowski no
later than TOMORROW at 2:30. Forms are available outside the AD office.
