The Ohio Legislature’s Amended Substitute House Bill 282 states that all school districts must identify any gifted K-12 student in their district.
This law pertains only to the identification of gifted students.
It does not mandate academic programs for gifted students.
Preble Shawnee Schools does not offer gifted services.
Preble Shawnee will test all students for gifted identification in grades two and six.
Parents who would like to have their child tested outside of these grades may request a gifted assessment by completing a referral form. This form can be requested from your child’s principal or printed from the link below.
