HS ANNOUNCEMENTS SEPT. 23

SEPTEMBER 23, 2022

The senior class members will be attending a College visit at IUE Tomorrow.  The bus will leave at 9:15 and return apx. 2:00.  Seniors will be released by announcement.

 

Attention Seniors ~ if you did not turn your Graduate Services senior order in on Friday, please see Velma regarding your ordering before the Deadline - as of December 5th there will be a minimum of $20 late fee or more by percentage depending on your order total.  Plan accordingly.

 

On Thursday, the NHS will sponsor a Blood Drive in the high school gym from 8:00-12:00.  Donators must be 16 years old, be 5’4” tall, weigh at least 110 pounds, have a picture ID. **16-year olds must have a SIGNED parent permission note at the time of giving blood.  Signups start on Monday.  See Mrs. Stevenson if you have any questions.

 

The Homecoming game is next Thursday with the events starting at 6:45. The Homecoming dance is on Saturday, October 1st from 7:00-10:00.  Guest forms will no longer be accepted.   No students below 9th grade will be permitted to attend the dance.  Cost is $10 single or $20 couple. 

 

Eye blacks are on sale in the Unit office for $3.00 a pair.  Support our Football team by showing your school spirit.

 

Attention Arrow Fans, The Varsity football game against Arcanum, on Oct 7th, will be a Pink Out game.  Pink shirts are on sale for the game.  See a HS cheerleader to place your order.  They are $15.00 each.  The deadline to order is Friday Sept. 23. 

 

September 19-30 the Healthy Living class will be sponsoring a competition between Arrow Time classes.  The high school class that brings the most personal hygiene items in will win a Milton’s Donuts with juice breakfast.  Someone from each high school Arrow Time class will take the collected items to Mrs. Turpin, room 129 during that period.  She will keep ‘score’ of what is brought to her from which class (be sure to ‘label’ your items when being delivered).       A list of donation ideas is in each office as well as Mrs. Turpin’s room.  All donations will go to the pantry through the liaisons/student needs.

 

Friday, Sept. 30, we will be observing/practicing a Fire Drill.       Teachers will go over the procedures for the students to follow when exiting the building in an Orderly Manner during first period.  

 

Monday is the start of Spirit Week – Homecoming Game is Thursday vs Tri County North.  Spirit Week festivities are as follows:

Tuesday ~ Jersey Day

Wednesday ~ Wacky Wednesday

Thursday ~ Spirit Day (red/black)

Friday ~ Flannel Friday
